Two individuals are now facing charges related to a luggage theft where a substance thought to be irritant spray led to people being hurt at London's Heathrow Airport.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two robbery charges and two counts of deploying a toxic agent, authorities have stated.

These accusations come after an investigation into an attack at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their luggage taken after getting out of a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A three-year-old girl was one of the people hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

The incident – described by police as was a standalone event and not considered a terror-related act – caused disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
