Trump's Family Member Gets Professional Advice from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of LPGA First Appearance

Emerging athlete getting ready for significant competition

This young athlete maintains substantial social media following

Kai Trump can count on plenty of well-known backers when she starts her first LPGA appearance on Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to a former US president, obtained a sponsor's invitation to participate at the Annika competition in Florida.

Her grandfather, an avid golfer, possesses numerous international courses and often competes against Kai.

"He's pretty good. I can't say much but we play some close matches," she mentioned.

She mentioned that Trump, unable to come, advised her: "Just avoid anxiety."

"He essentially suggested to compete and enjoy myself," she added.

"To me, he's just a normal grandpa. He won't be there this weekend. He's occupied with world affairs, making him rather occupied."

Being non-professional, Kai has competed in only three events this year and maintains position 461 in AJGA listings.

But she can seek guidance from golf legend, in a relationship with Kai's mother.

"He stands as the best player worldwide," Kai expressed.

"Furthermore, he's an even better individual. He told me to compete, have fun, following whatever happens."

The golfer will compete against several the biggest names in professional golf at the Annika, such as world number two Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

The LPGA stated that involving Kai brings golf to wider groups, particularly with the next generation.

Kai has a massive following and has started an exclusive apparel and wellness brand.

The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
