The Blues head coach Enzo Maresca stated on Friday that Cole Palmer is set to return for the squad's significant top-flight match against London rivals Arsenal.

The 23-year-old England international was unavailable due to a fractured toe sustained after an accidental incident.

“He is available to start and to play,” Maresca commented. “All involved are pleased.”

This season, Palmer has made only four appearances in every contest, finding the net on two occasions.

Following his transfer from Manchester City in the previous year, he has achieved 45 scores and 29 helpers in 101 matches for Chelsea.

“He is our top performer, we are happy he is back, we need to provide him with time to be fully fit,” Maresca added. “His past performances have been excellent and no doubt he is going to do exceptionally well for this club in the future.”

Everton were unsuccessful in their challenge against Idrissa Gueye's red card for a physical confrontation with fellow player Michael Keane during the team's 1-0 victory at Old Trafford.

However, Ola Aina (thigh injury), Douglas Luiz (thigh), the winger (hamstring), the striker (knee), and Oleksandr Zinchenko (hip) are likely to be unavailable.
