In a unexpected partnership that challenges conventional expectations, the game developer has unveiled an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Uncovered

According to the authorized statement, "An unusual encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of forbidden practices and fearsome transformations echo through the shadows." The narrative presents a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden cult.

The adventure concentrates on "strange experiments and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Transformations

The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Prizes and Extra Material

Players who successfully complete the mission will obtain an unique katana in addition to multiple objects concealed throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
